This is the start of my ongoing attempt to list and picture all of the Astromechs from the modern Star Wars lines.
I will be updating this as often as I can, initially it will just be a list but over time I will add photos of all astromechs for easy identification.

Astromech Checklist
-----------------------------------------

POTF2
------------

R2-D2 - Basic Figure
R5-D4 - Basic figure splits apart to fire missile
R2-D2 - With datalink. Freeze frame figure comes with Grasper Arm and Circular Saw
R2-D2 - with Launching Lightsaber. Probably the worst ever R2 figure.
R2-D2 - With Commtech chip and holographic Leia. The first figure to have the restraining bolt and extra grime.
R2-D2 - Power FX version with Tatooine background. Has sound fx and light up eye.
R2-D2 - Princess Leia collection. Same figure as the basic R2.

EP1
-------

R2-D2 - with 4x jets and commtech chip
R2-B1 - with commtech chip
R2-R9 - Exclusive figure came only with the Royal Naboo Starship. Listed as a Red R2 unit on the box. This is the only Astromech figure that has the correct eye lighting up.

Power of the Jedi
----------------------------------

R2-D2 - Naboo Escape
R4-M9 - The first ever R4 model with dark green markings
R3-T7 - EP2 Sneak preview figure. And the first clear dome droid.
R3-D3 - Disney Exclusive figure.
R4-M9 - Disney Exclusive figure. Same as the other R4 - M9 but with a light blue paint scheme.
R5-D2 - Disney Exclusive figure.

Saga 2002-2004
------------------------------------

R2-D2 - Coruscant Sentry with sounds and lights, comes with 2 Kouhuns Assassin Centipedes.
R2-D2 - Droid Factory Flight version with jets and flying action string.
R2-D2 - Jabba's Sail Barge version with Drink Dispenser, serving Tray and Base
R1-G4 - Tatooine Transaction, first and only R1 figure.
R2-D2 - Tatooine Mission same figure as the POTJ Naboo escape figure without the dirt layer.
R3-A2 - From the Battle of hoth pack.
R4-I9 - From the Imperial Forces pack.
R2-D2 - Silver anniversary TRU exclusive version. Shiney silver.
R2-D2 - Holiday edition with Reindear horns Walmart exclusive version.
R2-D2 - From Lukes X-wing fighter. Has green paint splashed on to make it look like Dagobah Dirt.

Original Trilogy Collection
--------------------------------------------------

R2-D2 - Dagobah Training with sound Fx, covered in dirt. Comes with Dagobah base.
R2-D2 - Votc version with removable limbs. Comes with Diagnostic Arm, Cutter Arm and Removable Panel.
R2-D2 - Commerative tin version Walmart exclusive. Same figure as the original POTF2.

ROTS
-----------
R4-G9 - Sneak Preview figure with Holographic planet.
R2-D2 - Droid Attack. Comes with claw attached to his head and leg jets.
R2-D2 - Electronic Lights and Sounds! This is the same figure as the Saga figure but with new sounds.
R4-P17 - Has a slight dirt layer, same sculpt as the R4-G9.
R2-D2 - Remote control version from Japan (clean)
R2-D2 - Remote control version from Japan (Dirty)

Saga Collection
------------------------------

R2-D2 - Battle of Hoth with crates and lamp. comes with base
R5-D4 - The first good version of this droid. Comes with antenna and base.
R5-J2 - Black version of the r5 droid. Comes with antenna and base.
R4-K5 - Comes with base.
R4-M6 - Comes with base.
R2-D2 - From the early bird kit. This is the same as Battle of hoth version, but with no dirt. A very subtle difference. Easy to miss.
R4-A2 - From the droid pack 1.
R2-C4 - From the droid pack 1.
R3-T2 - From the droid pack 1.
R2-Q2 - From the droid pack 1.
R3-T6 - From the droid pack 1.
R4-E1 - From the droid pack 2.
R2-X2 - From the droid pack 2.
R2-M5 - From the droid pack 2.
R2-A6 - From the droid pack 2.
R3-Y2 - From the droid pack 2.
R2-D2 - Silver version from EP3 gift pack.
R2-D2 - from the Commemorative Episode IV DVD Collection. This is the same R2 as the Saga sail barge version, without the drinks tray bits.

30th Anniversary Collection
-------------------------------------------------------

R2-D2 - ROTS version with jets and flame effect.
R2-D2 - With Cargo net and stretcher.
R2-D2 - Comic pack version, with comic style paint job.
R2-D2 - Droid Factory Capture Battlepack. This is the same figure as the Saga Droid factory flight figure, but without the string.
R2-D2 - Jedi training on Dagobah Battlepack. Has extra dagobah dirt painted on.
R2-D2 - Ambush on Ilum battlepack. Has a hint of blue on the feet.
R4-C7 - Arc-170 Elite Squad Battle pack. This droid is not named on the box, but has since been given a number.
R2-R9 - Commerative Tin Version.
R2-D2 - McQuarrie Signature Series: Concept R2-D2
R2-KT - Shared Exclusive figure. Very hard to get figure, expect to pay a lot for this.
R5-F7 - Exclusive droid that came with the Toys R Us Y-wing fighter. Comes with Antenna.
R5-X2 - Remote control figure Japanese only release.
R5-D4 - Remote Control Version

The Legacy Collection including Build-A-Droid
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

R2-D2 - Jawa capture with restraining bolt and lightning effect.
R2-X2 - A new version, much greener than the Saga droid collection version.
R4-D6 - Build a droid figure.
R7-Z0 - Build a droid figure.
R4-J1 - Build a droid figure.
R7-T1 - Build a droid figure.
R2-L3 - Build a droid figure.
R5-A2 - Build a droid figure.
R5-C7 - Build a droid figure.
R3-M3 - Build a droid figure.
R3-A2 - Build a droid figure.
R4-P44 - Build a droid figure. This is the hardest BAD figure to get as it's parts came with some of the least wanted figures.

R4-F5 - from the Wal-Mart exclusive Droid factory packs
R4-H5 - from the Wal-Mart exclusive Droid factory packs
R2-T0 - from the Wal-Mart exclusive Droid factory packs
R2-D2 - from the Wal-Mart exclusive Droid factory packs. Battle damaged version. A really great figure.
CB-3D - from the Wal-Mart exclusive Droid factory packs
Whistler - from the Wal-Mart exclusive Droid factory packs
R2-A3 - From Wedges X-wing Target exclusive. Un-named on the actuall pack.
R2-D2 - Genoisis Arean Showdown pack. Has a clear eye light. with retractable front arm and hook on string on the back.
R5-M2 - Hoth Recon Patrol Battlepack
R2-D2 - Jedi Training on Dagobah. Same figure as the 30th Anniversay pack figure.
R4-P17 - Kamino Conflict pack. Clean version of the ROTS figure.
R2-D2 - Resurgence on the Jedi Battlepack. R4-G9 repaint.
R5-K6 - Scramble on Yavin battlepack figure.
R2-D2 - Shield Generator Assault battlepack. With blasted astromech effect.
R2-D2 - Training on the Falcon Battlepack. Repack of the Saga figure.

R5-X2 - Remote control Version. Same as the Japanese release.
R5-D4 - Remote Control Version. Same as the Japanese release.
R2-D2 - Remote control Version. Same as the Japanese release.
R2-Q5 - Remote control Version. Same as the Japanese release.
R4-P17 - Remote control version.


The Vintage Collection
--------------------------------------------

R2-D2 - Sail barge version with drinks tray and serving arms.
R5-D4 - Based on the Build a droid R5 figures.
R5-P9 - TRU exclusive from Battle over endor pack 1
R2-T7 - TRU exclusive rom Battle over endor pack 2

Movie Heroes
---------------------------

R2-D2 - Repaint of the EP2 electronic figure, but with sounds from a New Hope. So a new figure in my book.

Royal Startship x4 Figure Pack
G8-R3

I think that covers all astromechs to date. If anyone knows of ones I have missed PM me with details and I will add them.
