| The legendary director of (of course) Empire Strikes Back and the not so brilliant- Robocop 2 and Never Say Never Again (Bond) has died at the age of 87. Real gutter.  On a side note, the legend Leslie Nielsen also died today aged 84. The Naked Gun and Airplane are arguably two of the funniest films ever made. | Kirshner was deffinately no great director but he did make 1 great film the whole saga could have been so different if Lucas hadnt passed the reins over for ESB. As for Nielson I grew up watching Police Squad on a Friday night when my parents went to the pub he was and alwasy will be a comedy great 'dont call me Shirley'. |
