| Hi from a new member! I made this DIY Deathstar using Photoshop images from NiubNiubuniverse's site. He's done a great job at creating the templates from which I was able to custom build this setup. I used CorelDraw (a graphics application) to pull the various wall and floor images together. These were then printed on sheets of A3 sticky paper which I could then fix to the foam board. I have the PDF file still if anyone fancies having a go too. Here's a link to my personal gallery with a handful of pics: http://www.starwarscollectorscantina.com/gallery/Personal-album-of-markymark70/dsc-01-pic_41.htmCheers, Mark |

| Cheers Tigerham and Gorneesh!
The beauty of the design is... that it's all collapsible. Basically the cross is a slotted top/bottom design so that two main halves slot into each other. The half circular 'lift' columns are made from a cut-up TV cable tidy system (With blanking pieces at the tops). These are then fixed by Velcro to the main panels. All the little wall panels that you can see proud of the design are also Velcro fixed. The upper floor simply slides through a slot.
I built an earlier prototype to try it out - but then decided to go the whole hog with the 'lift' tubes and wall panels. I wanted to keep it looking a bit like a 'vintage' toy, rather than a realistic representation.
The PDF artwork is about 8.6mb if anyone would like a copy.
Cheers |

| Cheers Vaders Child and Jim Body... Glad you like it... Honestly, it's not too difficult to put together - If I built another one my wife might divorce me lol. Mind you - I'm just pulling some artwork together to build a Tatooine set - using scans from the Cantina set, the Sarlacc game and others... Should be fun to display a Landspeeder and my mini-rig Skiff. Once I've put something together, I'll post it up |

Hi Guys. I found this forum looking high and low for a source of the Cantina Pop Up Set Scan. You guys have a sweet thing going.
Anyone have any ideas where I can get it?
I got a few from erikstormtrooper.com but i just can't get the actual pop up scanned with instructions.

Thanks!

Hi, my plans never went in the direction I wanted. In the meantime, I've just recently got hold of the orange base for the Palitoy Cantina. I've been drawing the missing stickers and plan to use Ralph Mcquarrie's artwork for the back card rather than the normal Cantina scan. I've also been drawing some artwork for a Bespin model. My baby boy keeps me busy, so it's difficult to find time! Hopefully I can post some news soon. Cheers, Mark |
